Product Designer
Own the design of products that get judged by regulators and fraud investigators, from first research through to the shipped interface.
About the role
DCL builds products where the cost of being wrong is high. Agentic Data Compliance has to satisfy a regulator. Korva has to satisfy an investigator chasing a suspicious pattern. Both are judged on whether a person can understand what the system did and why it did it.
You would be the designer on that work. It means owning research, product definition, interface and the system that holds it together, sitting next to the founder and the engineers rather than working through a handover.
Responsibilities
- Run discovery with users, domain experts and partners, and turn what you learn into a product definition the team can build against.
- Design end to end: information architecture, flows, interface, interaction detail, and the states nobody remembers to ask for.
- Own and extend the DCL design system so tokens, components and patterns stay consistent across products.
- Prototype at whatever fidelity answers the question fastest, from a whiteboard sketch to something running in the browser.
- Stay with the work through build. Review the implementation, catch drift, and adjust the design when reality pushes back.
- Make dense regulated material legible: audit trails, model output, and evidence somebody has to defend to a third party.
Requirements
If you meet most of these and the rest looks learnable, apply. We would rather read your application than have you rule yourself out.
- Four or more years designing digital products, with shipped work you can talk through in detail.
- A portfolio that shows reasoning as well as outcomes: the problem, the options you rejected, and why.
- Fluency in a modern design tool, and comfort maintaining a component library and design tokens.
- Experience with data-dense interfaces such as dashboards, workflows, admin tools or analysis surfaces.
- The ability to work directly with engineers and read enough front-end code to know what you are asking for.
- Clear written English. In a small team most decisions are written down before they are discussed.
Nice to have
- Exposure to a regulated domain: compliance, financial services, healthcare or security.
- Front-end skills good enough to prototype in code.
- Experience designing for AI or agentic systems, particularly explaining model behaviour to a sceptical user.
- Working fluency in Arabic as well as English.

Three days in the office and two from home. The office days are for the work that goes better with everyone in a room, which is most of the hard parts.
